Why?, Canes have pick surplus & get a guy who can put up a .900+ SV% for less than a mil & get a 3rd back, it’s a 20 pick drop that’s about it

Dallas is looking to bolster the defence so a 2nd & 3rd isn’t crazy for a guy playing Top pair minutes who wouldn’t be playing that in Dallas, more likely 2nd pair

In what realm are these unfair?

Brodie might be worth a second if you send a 5th with him for double retention, jones brings back a 3rd max more like a 5th though

In what way? he had a top sv% for almost 3 weeks, he’d be on a WAY better team in Carolina & they have pick surplus with another 2nd round pick besides the one they send to Toronto, multiple teams need goaltending rn so why do we need to sell Jones for pennies?

As for Brodie, teams pay more for worse D-men that cost more anyway so why is this unreasonable

Canes aren’t spending a 2nd on Martin Jones. Doesn’t matter if a 3rd is coming back or not, that is an insane overpayment for a 3rd string goalie.

It’s a surplus pick anyway, it does little to nothing & multiple teams need Tendy’s, Jones is the most cost effective option available for very solid results he has a .911Sv% which would be the best on the Canes, i think it’s a bidding war for him tbh which is why they’d get a larger price then they should

likely it’s a 3rd or 4th but i think multiple teams will want Jones
