This Minnesota trade is brutal for the Rangers. Miller is already a stud and is the most valuable pieces in this trade by far.

Guerin wouldn't, but that's a good offer. Probably too rich for most NYR fans, I'd imagine.

You must not watch many NYR games. Miller is probably the biggest liability on the back end for the Rangers and has been for a while. Not to mention his lazy effort around the NYR net almost nightly. Can't win a championship with players like that. Need to send him packing and acquire someone who can actually play defense and protect the crease.

Yeah because they're clueless. Need some guys with a little fire in their belly injected into the lineup. NYR has been missing players willing to mix it up for a long time. This core is embarassingly soft and a culture change is needed. Give me Duhaime, Middleton, Hartman, Foligno type players any day of the week.

I'll take that deal for buffalo all day. You do know he's got 2 more years on that deal right? Kinda of pricy for a 6th dman. Cliftons a great player but only if he's cheap. Unfortunately he's just not going to give you much more than a lot of guys out there getting between 1-2mil. Better to get more out of your top guys and have that extra 1-2mil left over to pay the right 2nd pair guy or middle 6 winger.

The fact that Miller has been a liability doesnt mean he has no value. Miller is 23, with a contract and is an RFA. He is exceptionally valuable. Just picture this, we got a 1st round pick for Nils, Miller has way more value than Lundkvist.

I love the way Clifton plays. I'll take him for that money, especially if he's replacing Lindgren's $3M cap hit after this season. Personally don't mind paying a little extra for a reliable D-man. I'm sure you can find a guy for less who plays the same style, Clifton is just the first that came to mind for me.
