freeing up 1.5M when u have to sign Eichel and Reinhart isnt exactly stupid when you're replacing 2nd line centre with similarly talented 2nd line centre whos younger and cheaper. Nuge put up fewer points sure, but he had a ridiculously low shooting percentage compared to career average

If this happens this is almost as bad as trading Dryden for 2 nobodys, Thornton for 3 nobodys, or the worst team in the league trading their 1st Rd. Pick (Guy LaFleur) and a nobody for a playoff team's pick and a nobody.

You are under rating O'Reilly here.. I'm sure every team in the league would want O'Reilly however can't say the same about RNH. I'm a habs fan and I have almost 0 interest in RNH even though center is a "need" for us.

Out to lunch here, ROR is twice the player Nuge is, Oilers get their number blocked by Buffalo after trying this!

ROR is much better than RNH (you yourself acknowledge ROR as a top liner in a team that has RNH on the 3rd line) and the Sabres dont have a cap issue, in fact their again almost closer to the cap floor, so this trade is pointless.
