Description
People might think the Chychrun trade is an underpay, but considering Lilly is exactly what Ottawa would want, it certainly makes sense. Chychrun only has 1 year until he's a UFA, so it's not like he would get much more than a late first, anyway. Robertson has a lot of potential, too.

Starting Cowan there is certainly risky, but I think going through the season and then making a trade for someone like Mangiapagne at the deadline could be a good idea.

Minten isn't ready...'cmon. Both Benoit and Timmins shouldn't be starters. No 7th Dman? Keeping Robertson and Liljegren at the cap of Chychrun seems wiser.

This would be an off-season or 25' deadline move. Right now, sure he'd get more. But he'll only be one year away from free agency, and we have yet to see a player with 1 year left return more than a 1st + in the past decade, lol.

remember the Debrincat trade< you guys got pretty much nothing. i agree its not enough for chychrun but just keep the past trades in mind
