Make the 2nd rounder a 1st and retain 50% on Monahan, would leave the Canucks with almost a million in cap space if they needed it for depth

they do not need the retention, which is why i did not include it.

imo, a first rounder is steep for a guy i would only be interested in to play on the power play and have to shelter 5v5

His 5 on 5 play is ridiculously vilified on this site. He's fine 5 on 5, he plays on a crap team with scrubs on his line like Armia and Gallagher, you don't have to shelter him

SJ pass - SJ will trade Duclair somewhere else, but not VCR.
I can see VCR taking MTL deal.
The CGY deal seems weird.

He has 17 5v5 points this season. teddy blueger has 18. pius suter has 14 in 35 games. sam lafferty has 19.

i mean, kuzmenko has 14, and he has been miserable this season and is viewed as a cap dump on this website.

17 5v5 points at the allstar break is not worth a 1st
