Why would Danny Briere give up his team's first chance to make the playoffs in years? Bourgault, Lavoie, Ceci and the firsts won't help the Flyers close the deal this season, or likely next season, either. That's a package to a cellar-dweller for some big-name veterans.

Silly statement. We won't know that until well after the trade deadline, and this is a 2024 ACGM. The point remains undisturbed: Briere isn't going to bank on his team failing.
