Remember when it was half the franchise for Chychrun or no deal? Good times

    No LA needs to add.

Roy = 29 years old by seasons end (looking for new contract)
Chychrun = 26 years old by seasons end (1 more year for cheap)

You’re losing 1 year of cheap value and 3 years of prime. It’s LA that would have to compensate for that

I don’t think the difference here is Kaliyev.

Kaliyev is a very serviceable RFA with 25-30 goal upside when given the minutes.

I don’t add kaliyev to this trade if nothing else comes back.

Roy+ for chychrun fine. But not adding Kaliyev

Idk what Kaliyev is worth but I don’t think it’s as much as like you may think. Like he can be good but his flaws are clearly holding him back and probably other teams from wanting to offer full value

His flaw is he can’t really play defense.

I just don’t think adding him to chychrun trade is the right move.

    I'd say Habs decline.
Savard is extremely important to the Habs at the moment.
Savard should be only traded next year at the TDL.

personally, i would accept but i think the Habs left a retention slot open to trade him at this deadline to maximize the return (2 playoff runs at 50%)
