      1- Sabres aren’t trading Mitts
2- not even gonna give u Ostlund for Faulk
3- don’t really even want Faulk. He’s declining & not the type defenseman we actually need

Faulk is an old, declining, offensive dman-
with a big Cap hit for like 3 more years

      He’s a terrible target
And i know u just love to overpay for guys,
      but NO- HELL NO actually

While I wouldn't give you Ostlund in the Deal, Faulk still is putting up Decent numbers. His cap hit is high, but actual Salary is like 2mill less than his Cap hit the last few years. Munches a lot of minutes and is basically a 50/50 guy. Depending on what Buffalo does with their D in the next few months, could be something to have a conversation on in the Offseason. And I wouldn't do the Krebs trade

The biggest issues he had that stunted his development early on was that he was constantly injured
He made it through his rookie season fine, but then spent the next 3 seasons constantly banged up- so even when he was in the lineup he wasn’t playing at 100% for much of the time

Then last season he managed to finally stay healthy & he took a BIG LEAP forward in his development, scoring 59pts
Idk if it’s bc he finally got healthy, or he just needed that much time, but we finally started to see the top10 Pick he was drafted as

And then this season, he’s been even better
Frankly he’s been our best forward- not only upping his offensive production (42pts in 49games), but he’s taken strides in his defensive play as well & has become one of our better 2way players (not that that says much, lol)

He also started playing more Center last year & has continued to do so this season, so maybe that has something to do with it

I don’t think the Sabres are gonna trade him
I know that’s a popular “rumor” going around, but I’d be shocked
Pretty sure we lock him up long term
My guess is he gets a similar deal that Tage & Cozens got,
      something in the 7x7 range

Thank you, happy for him, sometimes it takes players a while but glad the Sabers didn’t give up on him
