Description
- Saw an article that 87.5 was a projection for the cap so I went with that.
- Hanifin might get more on the market but hes rumored to want to come to Boston and I think thats a fair number for him. That’s one of the best if not the beat top 4 defense cores in the NHL.
- Wotherspoons been good he earned an extension and a raise, gives flexibility to rest Lohrei if needed.
- Frederic gets the first shot at the top line, hes been so good this season and if he takes another step in the offseason he could be great there.
- Liam O’Brian takes the role Lucic was supposed to this season, I think theres still value in having someone like that on the roster but I do agree he doesnt have to play every game or get paid top 9 money.
- Lysell, Merkulov, Poitras can sort of rotate in and out if one needs rest. No need to overplay them if the opportunity is there to develop them properly and we have the depth for it.
- Colin Miller signing is debatable, I just want to put a solid veteran D-man with Lohrei to help him find his game in the NHL. Any ideas?

I like it. Hanafin might ask for more, as would DeBrusk, but as much as I like both guys, both are replaceable in the market. Love putting Frederic in the spotlight and hope for him to have a similar career trajectory as Marchand. Miller is a decent option but I almost want a cheaper, closer to the fringe guy. Mast, Regula, Walsh, and Mitchell all deserve a shot to push somebody out.

Mast isn’t ready for Providence. My assumption is Steen chooses to go elsewhere. Regula might be a viable option with the way he’s played at Providence.

Regula needs a real shot next year with the ways he's been playing, but can certainly see the argument of a veteran d-man playing alongside him.
I'd almost toss Farinacci in to the ring as well as a Beecher-esque surprise out of camp. He's looked great already as well.
While i fully agree that's a great D-Core, that blocks Lohrei's development in to a top 4 role. Lindholm has an NMC and with them both at 6-yrs, that'd put Lohrei at 29yrs old. If that's the case lets just sell high on his value and try and package that in to a top 6 center
