I understand what every PIT fan saying what he have hometown connection, but 3 of 4 teams he played for is in central division. Maybe he want to live in this area more than in PIT.

Edmonton accepts, hangs up the phone and doesn't look back.

That offer isn't getting you Jakob Chychrun.

And for $9,000,000 per long term, Sam Reinhart remains in Florida he probably gets even closer to $10,000,000 per long term.

For 9 mil per, you sign and keep Jake. Pit could get more from Vancouver or any other team if they trade him.

TBH, I don't need Saad and don't even want him that much, that trade is mostly about finding someplace for Smith. We could recreate that sort of trade somewhere else.

Yeah, that trade is automatic for Edmonton. And I'd still do it. I feel like Pitt has to do something along those lines and now is the best chance they have to do it. I don't know why anyone other than Dubas himself would say no, and I think he'd be wrong to stop it. The deal could be even better for PIT.

Keep Jake and get no return at all for trading him, or trade Jake for even more than I put down and still have the cap space to make a $9M signing? They should trade Jake. They should trade a lot of people while they can.

you are as delusional as your trades.

    That jake trade is pathetic

No one is givng up anything to take on Campbell and you are adding at least 2 1st round picks for PIT to take that back.
Let alone take that horrible contract and then sign MAF for no reason at all.

What's Better: Keeping Jake and still having a bunch of problems with the team, or Trading Jake for good assets such as a 1st and an A-level Prospect and gaining at least $9.125M in cap (from sending Carter to Free Agency) and being able to sign someone like Reinhart in Free Agency.

I don't know about you, but I'm taking the latter.
