Considering what they paid for him, I doubt they sell him this low. I don't think there is a desire to trade him, just rumours speculating around.

Don't think he'll get moved until the draft if he does, but this isn't THAT far off. I just think DET needs to add like a 2nd, for the divisional tax, and also for bending us over in the ADB trade LOL

The Detroit 1st could end up being in the same range as the 1st the Sens paid for Chychrun.

Berggren has probably the value of a 2nd so it does come out to a bit less, considering the Sens gave up two 2nds for Chychrun.

A 2nd is less than Berggren. You already know you can get a NHL player in Berggren where the 2nd is a lottery ticket. Berggren would also likely be a top 20 pick in a redraft.
If that 1st is in the same range then no reason to trade it for Chychrun or any player. Doesn't make sense for where we are yet. We have barely started to transition our young players to the team so it doesn't make sense for us to give up high picks yet.

The biggest hurdle in a Det Ott trade is just that; same division, rivals, and det fleeced them in the cat trade

I think this is a pretty fair trade.
