I bet Roy and Kane get more unless they are taking discounts to play in Detroit.
I wouldn't swap Berggren for Kurashev. The salary difference could be used to pay those guys more.

Kane isn't playing for 2 mil.

His agent has said previously he's not playing for dirt cheap.

When he's played with Detroit this season he's proven he's at around a point per game pace.

He's getting at least 4 mil AAV on a 2 year deal from Detroit or another team in my opinion.

He seems to enjoy being a Red Wing so I'm betting on him and Yzerman getting a new contract extension done.

Patrick Kane will be in the 2-3 yrs $4,000,000 per range.

I could see Matt Roy taking a discount to play for his childhood team.

Robby Fabbri with 3 torn ACLs won't get anywhere near a 3rd round pick, And Maatta should at least get a 4th rounder.

So far most indications point against Hanifin having a future in Calgary.

Calgary is in selloff mode, Lindholm and Zadorov are gone, And Tanev will be next. odds of Hanifin staying are less than 1% He's more than likely dealt to an American team and extended long term.

Last thing Conroy wants to do is lose Hanifin and Tanev for nothing.

See Johnny Gaudreau.

He got the Lindholm and Zadorov trades done so now he can really focus on trading these 2.

nothing about this build implies that they are being lost for nothing. it just implies that hanifin isn't extending with whoever trades for him, because I don't see Detroit being a heavy buyer

Yzerman isn't going to trade for a rental so I don't really understand why they're rumored to be in on Hanifin. 🤔

Hawks decline. They'll happily keep Kurashev.

signing a guy from UFA next offseason has nothing to do with their interest in a TDL guy. This build does not imply that Detroit is trading for Hanifin.
