Description

Looking through the CBA and could not find the direct answer to my question. But I am almost positive it has come up before. If a player is signed to an extension, but they trade that player retained (Has this been done?) does the retention carry over to the next contract?

William Nylander doesn't waive his NMC for Seattle. Nor is Seattle trading Shane Wright for a player about to make 8x$11.5M

There is nothing against it and it is probably allowed as long as it isnt blatantly done for cap circumvention

Not off the top of my head no, the closest i can think of is kessel to the pens about 2 years after signing
