Slaf isn't going to get 8.5. His play has massively improved but doesn't warrant that number and the Habs will likely benefit from that in a couple years

I went generous/best case scenario with the RFA contracts. Didn't put much thought into it, just wanted them in my preferred roster spot.

I agree with the 8 years, his management team would be smart to do a bridge deal but if the Habs can get him from 6-7 million for 8 years then that would be a massive value contract. I think they'll use Tippet as a comp which makes me hopeful

Oh I'd love that. I'd even sign him in the Caufield/Suzuki range assuming his progress translates well into next season.

SLAF will sign a bridge contract of 3 years similar to Zegras $5.5M per season. A LT term contract amount will be determined after that
