Laughton & Walker aren't worth anywhere near that return. Besides the fact Edmonton doesn't have the cap space to do this deal.

It's not that far off, if Laughton was having the year he had last year some would say it may be an overpay, especially where Broberg was then, who hasn't really been that much better this year. At the very worst you turn the 2nd into a 3rd but even so, it's a 2026 pick. Additionally, you know that the first is going to be a very late one, somewhere between 28-32 most likely. Id say this return is absolutely fine.

My counter offer would be a 3rd + 4th (no Broberg), but I'm not going to counter due to Edmonton not having the cap space.

So just a straight rejection will have to do.
