Andersson isn’t available but regardless leafs pass on both lily>walker and zero chance we spend 2 1sts this year I don’t think we can even spend the 2026 1st cause of conditions on the 2025 1st lol

I dont think Philly would do this deal either, they are looking for prospects and picks. Plus the main reason that Walker is being shopped is we have too many defenseman on the NHL roster.

Idk actually, he seems to fit the Flyers timeline, 24 y/o right now, wouldn't break the bank on a contract extension, and maybe the Leafs did all the work for us and we get another young, inexpensive, talented dman. We're looking at Sanny, Drysdale and York for a while clearly, I think all the other d spots are up in the air. And it's not like Attard, Grans, and Andrae are banging down the door.

To me, Risto and Seeler aren't part of the long term plans, Zamula may stick, but also a question mark. I think Bonk is a big part of the future as well but he will likely not be up until Michkov, perhaps a year prior but again, who knows.

I'm going to disagree, Lily is an interesting player but he is a 4/5 at best IMO and not worth a 1st. That is what we should be targeting or a combination of picks and players worth a 1st. I believe Attard will be in Philly by the end of the season. Both Andrae and Grans have there moments in LHV. If we are looking for a player in return for Walker it should be a young center not a defenseman.

I think he has the potential to be a top 4 pairing dman in this league and he showed flashes towards the end of the year last year and a little in the playoffs. I think he is going to build on that moving forward. I honestly don't see it in Attard or Andrae, so my faith is a bit less than yours.

Regarding the young center, I completely agree, but we're not getting a young center in that ilk in a trade around Sean Walker, that's just not going to happen.

I don't disagree, I think he is a 4 at best. But he will be 25 in 2 months, he will need a new contract after the season and he has yet to play even 70 games in a season even though this is his 3rd season in the league. I think our top 3 are solid going forward. I believe Bonk becomes that number 4 in let's say 2 years. Then you have Zamula, Attard, Ginning, Andrae and Grans for 2 bottom pair spots. Defenseman take time, I would rather let some of those guys develop. I also am almost certain that we take a defenseman in the first this year. I do agree that you probably aren't getting a young center for Walker, but you could get a draft pick that would allow you to trade for or draft that player.
