Description

Complete hypothetical in a deal that would have to happen in the off-season and most likely never would happen. But who would add to this trade? Middelstadt is a 25 yr close to ppg center but Pulock is a extremely solid RHD defenseman which is arguably the most important position in demand right now. That’s one of the reasons Isles wouldn’t trade him cause they wouldn’t have a replacement but who’s more valuable rat the moment? Ik Sabres fans want a RHD but when will a good 20-25 yr old RHD become available? Never. Forgot to add Pulock has a NTC so that only adds to this trade never happening.

They are honestly very similar players in terms of overall play.

Pulock positional value is better, age is worse and term is bad but AAV is good.

Who do I think should add? Islanders. Who do I think would add? Probably Buffalo.

RHD are very hard to come by, especially of Pulock's caliber. A top 25 or so RHD is a top pair on a solid amount of teams. Plus he is better than almost any other RHD who could be up for grabs this summer (although I doubt he is)

As a Sabres fan I think this is a fair trade. Maybe Buffalo throws in a random non-first round pick.

I'm not sure I understand this trade from Buffalo's point of view. You have two future rockstar defensemen signed for many years to come. Most teams are happy to have one, you have TWO. Why would you get rid of a quality scoring young forward when you clearly need goals?
