That Flyers deal is awful, Frost has been the best center on the team since the break and they will not move him unless they get a massive overpay. To deal Walker and Frost together you are talking about 2 1st round picks as a start and likely adding a top prospect (Not Neimela).

Vegas already has a logjam at D they need to figure out, adding another is unlikely.

It's obvious that Savard's defensive play will make him very desirable ahead of the deadline. He's also a great leader and mentor for Montreal's young d-core, so I can only see Hughes giving him up for a 1st or somewhere around that value

I'd trade Savard for a 2nd round pick without retention. Retention or taking cap back would need appropriate compensation.

At the previous deadline Savard had 5 straight season of an xGF% above 50% and his actual GF% ranged from 49.5% to 61.7% (prior to the year he was traded).

In 3 straight seasons with MTL his GF% is ~40% and xGF% is ~42%, he is getting caved in. He's also 33 now not 30.
