Is Toronto really going to pay that kind of package for a career 3rd string and a 3RD?

Daccord has a .921 save percentage in 36 games played... He must be the best 3rd string in NHL history...
Toronto has a historically terrible defense Schultz can be a calming force on that.

You are buying a 1st string goalie playing out of his mind, a good 3RD. I feel it is a fair price

Toronto tried to patch the lack of puck movement with Klingberg... and we all saw how that went. Schultz is just another puck mover that isn't good at defending. He isn't what they need.
Draccord has never played more than 8 games a season until THIS season... is that really worth a first?

Just seems like Toronto could move a first and Niemela for a much, much better package of players

That’s a huge overpayment for Wennberg

May be, although I am a Rangers fan I am trying to look at this from a Seattle perspective, Rangers need a proper 3C (Brodzi is good, but I do not know how I feel for him playing as the 3C in the playoffs).

Had you Daccord been traded last year he would not have been worth more than a 5th. But, given the season he has had he is worth a 1st and a top prospect (Niemelä), Schultz is just a sweetener for the trade

I don't know how to break it to you but a goalie who's 27 with 50 career games under his belt is not getting a first and a top prospect. You're way off man

I mean why should you feel any better about Wennberg in the playoffs? 21 points in 52 games when brodzinski has 14 in 34 and starting to get comfortable between cuylle and Kakko

Not gonna get that much for any of those 3, you may wanna peddle Larsson if you want a first.

Being a Rangers fan until Seattle got a team, here are my 2 cents.

1. No way Eberle is worth a first. Anyone willing to pay a first for Eberle, even with salary retention can definitely have him. He's having a pretty down year, but leadership and veteran presence is something, and he's not a garbage player, so I think the best Seattle can expect is a 2nd and maybe a junior prospect with salary retention or without retention either drop the prospect or drop the pick to a 3rd with the prospect.

2. Wennberg is not worth a 1st in any scenario. I can even see him being a good fit for the Rangers. A 3rd is probably the fair price, but the Rangers don't have a 3rd this year or next year, so if the Rangers want Wennberg they'll probably have to part with their 2nd round pick. There's a few teams that may be interested in Wennberg for the right price too, especially with salary retention, so that could push the price up to a 2nd, but value is probably a 3rd, maybe a reclemation project that would get waived anyways to make room for Wennberg.

3. Daccord should be someone that is untouchable. He's playing incredible this year, is under 30 and under contract beyond this year for only 1.2 Million. That being said, as far as value for Daccord, if he were actually available, given the performance this year, the contract and the number of teams needing goaltending, I would expect someone would pay a 1st for Daccord. That being said, I still wouldn't take any call for Daccord if I were Seattle. As far as Schultz goes, I think he's a solid trade target for a team, but Toronto isn't that team. He's not the type of defender they need. To the right team he could be worth a 3rd rounder.
