Xhekaj could be looking for a bridge deal instead, it might be not enough money for him locked, I agree.

But for Monahan, I think he would be looking for terms, and pretty sure teams would not be willing offering him a long contract. He might get a bigger oay for 1-2 years, but I just don't see teams offering him big money and terms.

Why are we paying three first round picks for Schmaltz? He's a 2C that's never been over 60 points. For that price I'd rather go for Mitts or Zegras
