are forward depth is still bad. pretty funny that leafs are trading both first round picks as well. these aren't good trades

Only rumours are ones that are posted on social media. Can't see the Leafs liking any of those three trades.

I am not arguing that. I think is was fourth period but could be wrong. Stating Kampf and jarnkrok as salary casualties and the want of first for the trades. I can see where the lineup looks decent this year but this is an all in move that quite frankly the more I look at it, I am not sure how much it really helps.
As said in the description, I am putting them out there to see opinions and thoughts from all areas.
I would not want either of these trades most likely.

There was a hockey rumour site stating leafs interest in Tanev, Laughton and walker. Tanev and walker believable. Tanev is supposedly for a 1 which so far Treliving has balked at Kampf and jarnkrok were said in some sites as potential salary casualties in some trades. So I put it out to see opinions and I agree I don't see a huge benefit to either trade.

Ge a hold of yourself and think. I betcha all 16 or even 20 contending teams for the playoffs would love to upgrade their defence for hopefully a long Cup run. So how the Leafs (or most team) interested in Tanev or Walker (two expiring contracts on likely non playoff teams) news to anyone?

I never said it was news to anyone. I was merely putting a couple trades out there based on reading not just fans on social media but actual insiders for opinions. And yes I know insiders are often wrong too.
Hence the fact that I am merely looking at opinions, no need to hate of think I am being cocky, I am merely stating where I am coming from.
I value the opinions on the trades and don't argue the thought that the leafs won't do it. That being said every year there are bad trades at the deadline. I hated the foligno trade the time it was done by Dubas' and still hate it now. I think it was a massive overpay even if Foligno was not injured. The Pageau trade with Lamorello, Jeannot last year, there are multiple of examples. Point is if we hate the trades we hope that our GM won't do that that doesn't mean they won't.
