So the more I think things over, this fan base needs to understand they're going to attempt to retool in the off-season and continue to *Attempt* to make a playoff push so long as the core are here. (You can not trade Malkin or Letang at this point and get anything of value back. They're riding this into the sunset).

Jake is out 4 weeks, but will be fine and as Seravalli and others have reported his trade value hasn't changed and it's not at all uncommon for contenders to trade for players that may currently be hurt.

Outside Jake most of this is depth movement. (I think you could maybe look to add someone like DOC to a contender, he has another year on the contract but cheap player).

There are some contenders that desperately need a goalie and Ned has had a stellar year and making $1.5M I think a 2nd is an easy ask for one of these teams that need a goalie (NJD/CAR/EDM/Etc).

Smith is the toss up, there are rumors that they'll try and move him as it hasn't worked here.

Given the desire for centers I think MAYBE there could be a chance they move Eller but he does have term, so i'm not totally sure that would happen.
