Just do Dowd for a 1st or 2nd + Broberg / comparable prospect. No need to over complicate the deal

LMFAO

I wouldn't do that trade giving up just Tanev, nevermind a 2nd as well.

Tanev for a 1st... then if you want us to eat another year of Ceci's ****ty contract pay up., we're not eating 3.5m in salary for ****s and giggles

Ceci is on a good contract. I feel confident going into playoffs with him if that’s the way it ends up but if we could get Tanev I think he’s the perfect upgrade. He’s pretty much the only Dman I’d want to move Ceci for that’s available right now

I realize plus minus is far from a perfect stat if I’m not referencing offensive/defensive zone starts but Ceci is playing over 20 minutes a night against top end competition and has 15 points while sporting a +14. For 3.25M. He’s on a good contract. Signed a guy who watches him every night

Dowd with retention is worth 2nd + Tullio or thereabouts. You aren't getting a 1st or Broberg back.

Well, he IS on a good contract. He's top-25 in the league for TOI v Elites over the past 2.5 seasons and has posted a 51.8 xGF% at 5v5 over that span. He's no game-breaker but he's a steady, tough defender who can eat tough minutes night-in, night-out.

Find me a guy who has played harder minutes with better results for less money.

I'll wait.

Foegele is outperforming Eberle by a LOT this year. Why would Edmonton make that trade? Holland has no nostalgia towards Eberle.

Foegele v Eberle, 5v5 rates
