Don’t see the value in it for the Flames. Right now there are several teams bidding for Tanev. So the package should be significant. Having to take back a cap dump for another year too should increase the compensation to the Flames.

Flames get better offers for Tanev that beat that, possibly even a first on its own, and then there's moving RyJo. Like the targets in the other trade but I think NAS hold out for significantly more for Novak or re-sign him.

That deal is horrendous for Calgary. Easily gets beat. I'd take Novak in a heart beat if we could get him, but at what price? Idk

Haha yes, the calgary part was not thought out enough during my highdea haha. More excited about trying to make the Novak deal work. No matter what we do at the deadline for C, it's going to be risky. Looking more and more into him, we should 100% take the risk especially at the financial situation the Avs are in
