Pretty sure Yurov just signed a 1 year extension with his KHL team, but you could basically swap Khusnutdinov for him in this scenario since it sounds like he still might debut in North America before this season ends.

Wild first-round pick Danila Yurov is expected to sign a one-year extension with his club, league-leading Metallurg Magnitogorsk, in the KHL. He let the cat out of the bag on a Russian TV show, although Guerin says the contract isn’t signed yet, it’s complicated and Yurov, too, told The Athletic that he negotiated better terms but hasn’t signed yet.

Regardless, the Wild are fine with Yurov, 20, continuing his impressive development in the KHL. Yurov recently tied Vladimir Tarasenko’s KHL record for most points (47 points in 46 games, including 21 goals) in a single season for a 20-year-old.

Speaking of Russians, second-round pick Marat Khusnutdinov’s season with KHL Sochi ends Sunday, and then the Wild will look to sign the forward to his NHL entry-level contract and bring him over to North America soon after.
