This seems very fair for each side. As long as an extension is in place or hes open to it, I think toronto does it. This is way better than Tanev imo Roy is 28 and fits the timeline way better. Extend fo like a 4x4.75 or so and its great

I'd rather keep Roy if the goal is the playoffs for LA.

I think Saros’ advanced stats haven’t been as good this year but he is a guy I’d expect to bounce back

If Matt Roy came with an extension then maybe. But honestly the Leafs could spend that 1st much better.

You have to move one of Rittich or Talbot for Saros as well as another few million, Saros has not outplayed those two this season and is playing very poorly this season.

Add in Rittich going to NSH and the money and roster is sorted out... And you get Saros for 2 years

Rittich is out playing Saros right now, and LA won't be able to afford Saros without retention as they have Lizotte and Grundstrom coming off LTIR eventually.

Bro you ever hear of buying Low?, He’s been a Vezina calibre guy for nearly 3 straight seasons, you get him behind a Good defence in LA he could carry you to a cup

So your argument is, to weaken the Kings defense to help the Leafs because the Kings can obtain 1.5 years of Saros who is playing some of his worst hockey since entering the league? And that Rob Blake who is on the hot seat should take more risks when his job is on the line and LA has actually started to string together wins?

This is under the impression that Roy makes it clear he doesn’t want to sign,The concept that i am “Weakening” the Kings D-core is very laughable, tho i do have a simple solution, an addition to the trade

Kings get Carrier to replace Roy from Nashville, in fact i was making that mock trade perspective right now

If you think thats fair I think the Leafs should pay all that for Saros. LA has put together stronger goaltending stats than the Leafs goalies, if you think a team should take a stab go for it.
