Description

Still in a rebuild in 24-25, bringing up roy, beck, mysak at forward with 4 youngsters on defense. But having 2 years of ample picks to add to the stable thats already full. Only moving youngster Barron.
Acquiring strong vets to assist in the development of the youngsters, like Pesce, Couturier. Picking 2-4 yrs of strong play to assist those here now, and guys not in NHL yet. Keeping lots of cap space.

Mixing older vets and size/grit with young kids throughout lineup. Couturier is a big two way center, who in time can fall back to 3C, dach brings some grit to 1RW, Roy and Slaf get 2nd line, Beck gets 3C with capable Newhook and Anderson, bottom 5 forwards bring some fists/physicality/grit/skill/speed with good mix of young guys and old guys.

On defense, Reinbacher gets 1RD, with Struble and Guhle starting, capable Matheson is joined by Pesce. Only choose Zadorov as 7th because hes 28 yrs old, and brings some physicality, but maybe Harris is enough back there.

Taxi squad is first callups.

Do they really decline? I think the team has missed him the last several years but 6 more years of that contract what will Couturier be? If he was a winger it would be a no brainer but because he plays center, our weakest position, it's so difficult to make a decision. Including ND is a no brainer.

MTL don’t trade Savard, so they don’t sign Pesce
Reinbacher 1RHD ? Maybe in Laval, but that’s probably Logan Mailloux spot
Norlinder contract is hilarious, I can’t see management bringing him back, he is been one of Laval worse defenseman this year if not the worse
MTL will give ELC to Lane Hutson, Adam Engstrom, Luke Tuch and Jared Davidson.
MTL aren’t trading Kovacevic either
Pezzetta is the perfect 13th forward

For the Philly trade, I would be listening for a deal around Couturier + (cap dump) Deslauriers vs Dvorak + Barron + picks (no high ones)
