I mean, the Avalanche could definitely give that trade offer a shot, but the Kraken would reject it pretty quickly. Johansen and Wennberg have basically the same point production, only Johansen doesn't do any of the other things Wennberg does when it comes to playmaking and contributing defensively. There's a pretty sizable gap in value between the two. If Seattle is open to trading Wennberg, Colorado would have to give up something of real value to get the Kraken to consider a swap.

Wennberg is available for a trade I'm sure, but the pieces coming back to Seattle need to make sense for them. The package would likely be a 2nd or 3rd paired with an NHLer that's still under team control that isn't working out, or an AHL prospect under 24 or Junior prospect. Depending on the 2nd piece would determine what the draft pick should be.
