Larsson is a bad pickup. If Leafs get him it should be for a 2nd, nothing more.

Seattle would never go for that in a million years. No team is going to trade a top four RHD with term for just a second round pick, especially considering the Leafs don't have one until 2027.

Honestly I doubt the trade above gets a deal done either. To me a better comparable would lie between the McCabe and Ekholm trades (skewing closer to the Ekholm deal), and that's if Seattle even entertains moving Larsson, which I don't think they ultimately will.

Not saying that Seattle would take a second, just that the Leafs shouldn't be offering more.
