Trading minten alone should get you tanev at 50%. I wouldn’t do it though.

Calgary wants at least a 1st for Tanev without retention. Minten isn't worth a 1st he probably is worth about the 38th OA 2nd he was taken with. Timmons and a 5th doesn't make up the difference.

Maybe. I'd consider that and do it for sure without the 3rd but Murray Edwards probably won't let Conroy do it. Edwards is dead set against retaining salary, he's only allowed it once and that was on David Rittich's expiring contract with just a 2.75 mil AAV. Ironically Treliving made that trade as Calgary's GM sending Rittich to Toronto.
