Didn't include mtl 2nd this year as that is basically a 1st round pick (will be top 40 guaranteed) stanley is only 25 and with tanev and likely hanifin both out the door stanley can play top 6 minutes and improve also 6'7 which gms love, nikkanen is a toss in prospect that needs a change of scenery 0 points all year but isn't terrible

I would think the ask would be the Montreal 2nd from Winnipeg to try and beat out other teams. The Juve thing is no retention needed.

Jets would add another prospect like torgersson instead of nikkanen but the 2024 mtl 2nd is not in play for a rental

Try checking some recent reports. It's all over the place now that "Calgary is holding out for a 1st". Just like everyone with a clue already knew. If it was just a 2nd and another asset he'd have been traded already.

Give your head a shake. Stop going off old guesses from so called "insiders" who didn't have any inside info on the Flames. Since then everyone credible has said Calgary is "asking for"/"waiting for" a 1st but so far nobody has offered more than a 2nd +.
