Why not just buyout Goodrow and use that money on Kakko?

They can buyout Goodrow with 26-27 being the only season they see a tangible cap penalty, there is no reason to trade an asset to dump Goodrow.

Blues have no interest in taking on more bad contracts, even if you have Kaako coming the other way I'm not sold.

1 - The Blues also have to fit under the cap, dude. As far as I know, there's been no news that Faulk is out for the season.

2 - Not sure why the Blues would be adding anything back. Either take out the 3rd going back or add Robertson. Then maybe you have a shot.

I'm not convinced that another team couldn't get decent value out of Goodrow. But yeah, this deal needs to be adjusted.

If othmann is ready, kakko doesnt have a spot next year. Good player but a cheap rw(othmann) and guentzel is better than kakko and an inexpensive rw1
