A) Kane won’t ever be back on the Hawks, he’s cup chasing and doesn’t want to rebuild. One day contract to retire.

B) Marner at 12 million is a mistake and costly one. Chase someone like Marchassalt from Vegas or Toffoli

C) Oliver Moore had a WAY higher ceiling than the 4th line.

D) I agree on the RHD options in the future. 2024 draft happens take Celebrini/Lindstrom. Play on Bedards wing, use TB’s pick for a D man since it’s a very deep draft for Defense.

Kane and Marner were just place holders. In the description I just mention picking up 2 big forward FAs.

I know moore has a high ceiling, but this will most likely be his first year in the NHL and he can slot anywhere in the lineup, it doesnt have to be on the 4th line. Again just a placeholder

Actually, Kane was quoted saying he would have found it very hard to turn down CHI if they said they want to make him a Blackhawk for the rest of his career. I don't think he would be opposed to it. I think it's more so Kyle Davidson who already ripped that bandaid off, wants to turn the page, and isn't interested in retreads. But, yeah, maybe at this point Kane feels the same.
