It's been about 2 weeks since the Calgary Flames asked Jacob Markstrom to waive his NMC for the New Jersey Devils.

Only problem is that the Flames didn't have a trade ready for Markstrom.

      Roger that, homer.

can you just not be so lame? the, "oh you don't agree with me about a players value so you're a homer," line is so tired and stupid.

and what would the homerism be? this goes for any team trading for hanifin. Here is what's happening here. I'm looking at 20 years of trade history and trying to sort out what the market would dictate the asset is worth, and you're just saying it should unprecedented and then lashing out at others that have different opinions. it's lame.

      1. So, there is truth to that.

      Good.

If the Bruins managed to get Hanifin in 2015, they would have got an elite two-way defenseman instead of needing to watch Zboril turn into the highest picked bust of the 2015 draft.

But that's water under the bridge ...

      2. I am really just comparing apples to apples. Lindholm is a better comp for Hanifin than Orlov.

Calgary can have Forbort instead of Grzelcyk, but I could care less.

And why does Hanifin deserve a Lindholm-like package ?

Because Hanifin will sign an 8 year extension, he's of the same calibre, he was drafted about as high as Lindholm and he produces way more offensively on a weaker team.

      That's why.

      3. If Hanifin is moved to Boston, he'll became your new favourite toy.

And you'll become a way bigger homer over Hanifin than you are right now.

I’ve just quietly been around CF for a bit, but question? Why do you keep calling people homers? Especially BCarlo, that dude knows what he’s talking about. I agree with him here, while Hanifin is good yes, Hampus Lindholm was far more better then Hanifin from when he was dealt to now Hanifin,

Bostons true need is more less stay back and develop young players, not trade away the young guys.

      1. A homer is someone who is a fan of a particular team and thinks, "my players are way better than your players".

I see homers all the time on this site, including from my own fanbase.

When BCarlo said, "lindholm is in a different conversation in terms of what kind of player he is", that was a red flag.

      2. Boston's true need is more or less winning the Stanley Cup.

      Everything else is secondary.

Considering I believe he’s comparing TDL Lindholm to TDL Hanifin, he’d be right tbh, Lindholm (when healthy) is a much better defender then Hanifin, he’s not wrong when he states that Lindholm is in a different conversation then Hanifin tbh, I’m a Vegas fan and I don’t agree with Boston fans often, but he’s correct in my eyes
