As a Canucks fan, that is WAY too much for Pettersson. Give us Miller, Kakko, Perrault, 2025 1st, and 2024 2nd

Good Lord... In that case, how you feel about DET 2024 1st, DET 2025 1st, Kasper, Berggren, Wallinder?

Trying to hit an approximate comparison, upgraded the 2024 2nd to a 2024 1st given that Miller is way more proven than anybody on our list.

EP40 will stay. They'd be stupid to not give him the amount he wants

Pretty much everything that's been put out there so far is that it's not about money.

People are freaking out because he wants to wait until the season is done to talk extensions, rightfully so. The team is gearing up for their first playoff run in years. He probably just wants to focus on the season

Maybe. Though if the rumor that he's got 8 x $12M sitting on the table is true, I don't think it's really that difficult.

You could argue it's more distracting not to lock it down.

Full credit for not being a biased homer. I think you over offered.

If 12m is on the table, I imagine both parties are good with that, and maybe have an agreement. Who knows. EP likely just wants to focus on going for a cup atm

Hard to say simply because NYR + Pettersson means those 1st are all probably 25th or later.

Perreault and Miller are big pieces, though.

True, but just based on volume they would statistically struggle to not get quality out of that.

True. NYR does better with late 1st than they do with lottery picks. tears of joy

Yeah it is almost shocking how underwhelming their four straight top 10 picks are. None of them were crazy reaches either.

They aren't listening. Vancouver passes, teams calling doesn't equal to them listening
