He’s the 7th Dman and Mantha while he wasn’t great the last few seasons has been solid as of late. Both are 6’5 gritty players that can definitely bring added toughness and a bit more offence to NYR.

If lav wasn't the coach I would say NYR is a perfect fit for Mantha but I see absolutely zero scenario in which they trade for him with lav there lol

Mantha had the worst year of his career last year with Laviolette behind the bench, who consistently healthy scratched him or played him on the fourth line. Not going to say at some level it wasn't justified -- Mantha was playing incredibly poorly last season -- but very clear that he is not a fit personally or systems wise with a Laviolette coached team.

Dowd or Edmundson on the other hand though I could very easily see
