Yes. We will be a team spending almost up to the cap, still missing key players.

They wasted and burned so many of these players elcs or 2nd signing sweetheart contracts. We can't actually add what we will need.

We're going to be a maxed out cap team with a 500 winning percentage

        Couldn’t disagree more
Now that UPL has taken a step forward & solidified the goaltending, what are these “key pieces” we are still missing that need to be signed that u think we can’t afford ?

A top 6 forward and a top 4 dman. And quite possibly. Still a goalie.

I'm not banking on upl to have a career year again, just like I didn't bank on Tage and dahlin to have repeat performance of last year's numbers.

This Team is only hoping to grow. Not good. They have been weighed, measured, and found wanting. This **** isn't good enough for next year.

This just in…. Good young talent (most often) DOES “grow”
        Skinner-Tage-Tuch
        Peterka-Cozens-Quinn

We do NOT “need” a top6 forward
Hell, we even have Mitts & Benson on our 3rd line who are top6 quality- as well as Kulich & Rosen ready to make the leap, and Savoie on his way sooner than later as well

There is absolutely ZERO “need” for a top6 forward

And we have enough Cap room to go after a top4 RD,
even in free agency where we’d have to overpay someone like Roy or DeMelo

The kids will CONTINUE to grow
And that includes UPL, and that includes Levi
Bringing in a Vet to backup & steady the ship if UPL struggles is a good idea, but our goaltending is nowhere near the disaster it has been- we’re in pretty good shape there- ESPECIALLY if we solidify the defense

This just in. We have been told this for 13 years. We blew the elcs. And now can only retain our team, hoping they grow. This just in, players typically don't live up to expectations.

Seriously man, this team is in some serious need of changes, and now they're forced to trade away "core" players instead of adding to them. Horrible job the last 4 years with the cap.

        Well, if you’re THAT pessimistic,
then u might as well just pick a new team to cheer for

We still have PLENTY of good young talent with ELC years left
But don’t let facts get in the way of your complaining
Just go cheer for the Rangers
