No way would FLA Live Arena do that. They barely have defense as it is, and it's just way too much. I don't think they want to build their team like TOR, they are more of a by committee team. They are probably much better off signing Reinhart and Montour, and building that way.

I was essentially basing this deal off of the one Zito made with the Flames for Tkachuk. Shed some middle ground players in order to acquire a star for now and the future. If he's done it once I can't imagine he wouldn't want to do it again, with the amount of success the first one was.

Yeah so Lundell and Montour and picks 2 and 3 years away for EP40, Sorry once again that offer isn't even close.

Massive difference being he didn't have Barkov + Chucky before... but, he does now. Chucky is an absolute unicorn and while EP40 will usually put up more points, is arguably more valuable to a team anyway.

That Montour contract would likely end up OEL 2.0

Can Florida even afford to offer Pettersson a contract north of 10m (very conservative estimate) and still have a competitive d core? Also, with them not having much of a prospect pool or picks they’re going to need to develop a few guys to fit in down the road. Don’t see it being a fit.
