There are a few big issues with this proposal:
* This is adding more than 1.5m to Boston's cap, which they cannot afford even if they wanted to do the deal
* Perhaps most importantly, Ullmark has a 16 team no trade list which could cause this whole thing to blow up
* Forsberg's contract, in general, will be a net negative for the Bruins, and I'm not sure they'd want to take it on

In my opinion, there is potentially a deal around a Chychrun for Ullmark swap IF Ullmark is willing to go to Ottawa, but this one isn't quite right.

OTT declines

I think there was a report (I could be mistaken) that Ottawa tried to land Ullmark in the offseason but he wouldn’t waive to go there. Doubt anything would change in that front. To me, NJ seems like the perfect spot for him.

Yes, I believe the rumor was a three way trade between Detroit and OTT at or shortly before the draft. I believe the hold up was Ullmark waiving the NTC. But this deal was to get Boston back in the 1st round of the draft, I don't think any significant player was going to BOS.

So does Ullmark, He's not waiving for Canada and especially Ottawa.
