You wouldn't have to give up a first, Galchenyuk for Brodin is in Montreals favor if not even.

I disagree about Galchenyuk/Brondin's "Don't Toews Me 19" trade valuation.

First: I don't think Wild would wanna trade Brodin. It's more probable that they wanna trade Dumba.

Second: not in this world or anyone else Galchenyuk has higher value than Brodin. The reason is Brodin is one of the best young d-men of the league. He's already solid and talented player who helps a lot to Wild have one of the best defense of the NHL. D-men like him aren't easy to find out. On the other hand, besides Galchenyuk's talent, he's much more replaceble than Brondin is. It's easier to find players as good as he is in his position.

But, in general, I like your strategy. Just swap Brodin for Dumba and it'll be a realistic one.
