Description

I heard a rumor (The Hockey Guy) that moving Pettersson may be a necessity. No idea if he's totally off base on that or not, but if he's AT ALL on the market, this is something that I'd love to throw at the Canucks for him. Two solid roster players, a solid prospect, and a 1st round pick is a pretty good start in my opinion.

I guess I just don’t get the necessity argument. It falls away that he’s an RFA and the Canucks are 1st in the league.

Sounds like a figure it out later situation. His value will not change between now and the offseason.

That's why I definitely wanted to cite my sources on this. I think it would be crazy, but then again, if you don't ask it won't happen either way, so may as well take the shot. I do think that in many ways this would be kind of a "hockey trade" too.
