I'd be alright with the ARI deal but I don't like the idea of giving up Leaf's top d prospect and a first

the odds of Topi ever being an impact player on this team is very, very low

Overpay for bugleboy. Larsson could be nice but then we would have to give up our 5'10 160 lb defenseman frown

Don't see Seattle selling Larsson until they have a replacement.

Solid prospect 😂😂😂 you mean the 6th round 24 year old rookie? And I'd argue Bjug at 2.1x2 at 31 is less valuable than him at 1x450k a year ago.

But keep poorly arguing over this minimal impact trade that has a possibility of happening

Kesselring is a good player. If it’s minimal impact, then keep your 4th and 6th, Arizona doesn’t need or want it anyways

I'm not saying he isn't a good player but he wasn't a good or well known defensive prospect when traded.

Please enjoy ignoring facts

But they aren't going to just hope they can sign one. If they had guys in the system knocking on the door then sure, might be worth it.

yeah he was one of oilers higher prospect at 22 and became rookie at 23 and is doing solid middle pair job. whatever this trade will never happen AZ not taking 2 more late picks for bjug

How can you say this with such certainty? They're almost definitely missing the playoffs and are they going to be competing next year? Seems like a team that still needs to build from within

He wasn't even ranked in Edmonton's top 10 prospects heading into the 2022-23 season and has never been seen as a top 50 or 100 prospect league wide on any list ever.

I say that as they just don't have a replacement player. No matter where they are in the standings now, they are in the business of winning games and that will be even more so next season. I agree they have to build from within and in the organization they don't have a replacement for Larsson. There is a chance Ottavainen gets some looks next season but he isn't a replacement level player. They are already going to be in on the free agent RHD market as it is too replace Schultz. With an extra year on his contract, no reason to trade him now. Obviously things can change but it really doesn't make sense.
