**DISCLAIMER** I want Petey to be a Canuck for life, and I still think he'll extend in Van after the season is over.

BUT... if he forces a trade in the offseason I hope Allvin hits a home run on the return. It will almost certainly be panned by many Canucks fans no matter what comes back. This is what I think a realistic return could look like from the Sabres;

1) Dylan Cozens. VAN will want a youngish top 6 center coming back that can contribute right now, and the Sabres will need to move some cap to extend Petey. Cozens is having a down year after last year's breakout, but I think he could still grow his game playing 2C behind Miller and getting top PP time.

2) Alex Tuch. Again, I think Rutherford and Allvin will want mostly "win-now" pieces coming back rather than getting most of the value in picks/prospects, plus BUF will need to make some cap room for Petey's extension. Another ACGM had Samuelsson coming back with more prospects/picks, but I'm personally not that high on him.

3) A high pick in this year's draft. The Sabres are currently 8th in draft position now, but playing better recently so I called their 1st the 10th overall.

Personally I'd love a Cozens + Power for Petey + ??? deal, but I just don't see the Sabres trading Power. And again, my first choice is for Petey to %$&*#@ extend in VAN.
