Description

Using expected salary cap, obviously not set in stone yet.

Markstrom and Hanifan happen after season but before Draft/FA window. Biggest thing is getting Mercer signed, I think he takes a bridge deal. He’s underperformed to earn the 7-8 year extension.

VV to any team with a pick to dump his cap hit. Markstrom/Daws duo is good for next year.

I think Duclair is someone they target in FA if Holtz is part of the Calgary deal. He can keep up with the team and has the skill. SJ is a bad team that I think is hurting his value.

Without retention on Markstrom, that is far too much.

-- Holtz = Markstrom ($1m retained)
-- Bahl = $2 million retention
-- 3rd = Hanifin rights/sign-and-trade

And Mercer likely ends up either...

-- Bridge at $3-4m (ish)...(ie, Vilardi, Necas, etc)
-- Long-term at $6-7m...(ie, Boldy, Tippet)

If/when they fire Ruff, who is the coach you think they should bring in?

Berube, Evason, Gallant, Woodcroft, McLellan, or another?

Can move VV to any team. I just thought Hawks. He will probably need to be traded with a 3rd-4th round pick, true
