So basically, this trade is DOA

I think that might be close to what it would cost to get Lou's attention. Assuming Stankoven is off-limits, you might need to bump the 3rd up a round and/or add another prospect to get it done, but you're probably close to being in the ballpark.

Not sure, Bourque is one of their top spects but obviously unproven. Dellandrea is a young 4th liner, Suter is 39 yrs old. I think we would need a little more...but you are it's close
I much rather, remove Bourque and Dellandrea and get Johnston from Dallas

It's not spare parts and a couple of 2nds, like most of the Brock trades on here, so that's nice. Johnson might be a nice get, but I doubt they'd want to give up a productive roster player at the TDL.

Dellandrea and Suter are throw ins, they don't impact the trade value at all.

I understand where you are coming from But from the Isles POV, Nelson (besides the obviously ones we are NOT moving) is our largest, most valuable trading piece. So I want to maximize the return. We aren't getting much for guys like Wally, Parms, Pageau, Engvall and the over the hill 4th line....He's our golden goose.

Yeah, if they move him it needs to be a haul. If the Stars want him, I'd hold out for two of Stankhoven, Johnson or Borque, plus a first, but that's probably not realistic.
