Are you trying to say Delandra + 2nd is a lot better than what the Flames did get? A little better sure but not a whole lot. And yes Dallas did get retention, I'm actually amazed Murray Edwards allowed Conroy to do that.

I’m saying your take that the trade would be close without retention… and it being less of a package with retention is hilarious.

What's hilarious is you thinking Ottawa would be retaining any salary on Chychrun unless someone overpays. Chychrun isn't a rental he has another year left on his contract.
