Not sure why ANA would want Smith. Doesn't fit at all with their team time frame. They are awful this year and might be awful next year.

Pittsburgh doesn't have the assets to acquire Trevor Zegras. For one thing, they're missing a 2024 first.

Wrong. Utterly wrong. He doesn't have to be close to McDavid to be out of some teams' reach. We're talking realistic possibilities here.

If you want to just argue semantics, sure. If you’re actually being realistic — despite that he’s no McDavid — no bud, they don’t.

Yager and 1st round picks are all that PIT has that would interest ANA that they’d actually consider moving. ANA is flush with mid/tier prospects, their needs are top 6 scoring wingers and #1RD. Yager and late 1st rounders (not even an ‘24) are a step backwards if Zegras is going the other way. They don’t have the assets to acquire Zegras
