Maybe if Crosby requested a trade to only COL. Otherwise, even if only another team were bidding, Dubas should be able to get more. The two prospects are C tier. Girard would be getting flipped right away and might bring back another 1st, but overall I would want PIT to load up on futures because trading Crosby means a LONG rebuild.

All teams that aren't the Avalanche are getting screwed in these deals. Plus, MAF isn't going anywhere.

Overpaying for MAF but he won't be going anywhere anyway UNLESS perhaps the Sid deal is done first and he changes his mind to have a shot at it with Crosby. The Pens probably want/need Byram plus mostly futures in a Sid trade and that's a bit of an underpay as it stands. Arizona are going to want a little more in that deal too I feel.
