Dallas declines. Would rather keep the limited number of picks they have and let Stankoven stay in the top-9 than trade all those assets away for Tarasenko.

What do you think Dallas should do? trade the 1st round or hold onto it?

Only reason they should use it would be to upgrade the defense & honestly they’ve already done that. I don’t think they NEED to make another move. They don’t need offensive help though. I wouldn’t spend a 1st round pick on a position that is already a strength for the Stars.

I don't think there's any way Nill gives up this year's 1st round for a rental on offense.
