Who replaces his presence in the lineup? If the Bruins were seeking a center like Elias Lindholm earlier, giving up DeBrusk without any player coming back seems like a step in the wrong direction, even if it might be fair on paper value.

I was borderline trolling DeBrusk. Cassidy put him up on the box a few times for gliding around and not playing the right way. DeBrusk pouted and wanted a trade. (Cassidy then got fired for losing the room… and won a cup.)
As for team needs, DeBrusk could provide LV with some scoring punch. Bruins would gain enough cap space to go after… almost anyone… Hanafin? Claude Giroux?
